Fighting resumed in Kidal this morning, a spokesman for the Tuareg separatists told AFP on Sunday.
A Tuareg-led separatist group said it collaborated with the jihadist movement JNIM, which claimed responsibility for Saturday's attacks on Bamako's international airport and other cities in central and northern Mali.
The attacks are described as some of the most complex the military has faced since it took power after double coups in 2020 and 2021.
UN chief António Guterres condemned what he called "acts of violence" in Mali.
