The online giant Google still risks EU demands for a breakup, warns new competition commissioner Teresa Ribera in an interview with Bloomberg Television.
It's something that naturally is on the table and we're trying to work with other relevant competition authorities around the world, including in the USA, says Ribera.
The Spanish commissioner has taken over competition issues in the EU from Danish Margrethe Vestager and says she strives for the same tough stance towards the world's online giants.
At the same time, she hopes for a "cooperative, real relationship" with the rulers in the incoming US government under Donald Trump.
