Mikaela Shiffrin shows her class during the Olympic season. The superstar took her third straight slalom victory when she won the World Cup competition at home in the United States in superior style. Sweden's Anna Swenn Larsson finished fifth - 21 hundredths of a second off the podium.

The victory in the slalom premiere in Levi, Finland was followed by another first place in Gurgl, Austria, last weekend.

At home in Copper Mountain, Colorado, Mikaela Shiffrin took the season's third victory out of three possible in the parade slalom event.

She crushed the opposition and finished a full 1.57 seconds ahead of second place Lena Dürr, Germany. Lara Colturi, Albania, finished third (+1.85). It was the American's 104th World Cup victory of her career.

Anna Swenn Larsson scored a season best with her fifth place after a tenth and an eleventh place in the two previous slalom races. The Swede was 2.06 seconds behind Shiffrin, but only 21 hundredths behind third-place Colturi.

Sara Hector finished ninth (+2.40) and Hanna Aronsson Elfman (+4.31) took 18th place.

Cornelia Öhlund and Estelle Alphand were not allowed to run the second run.
