Rúben Amorim has left Sporting for Manchester United and on Monday, his replacement was presented in the Lisbon club. 40-year-old reserve team coach João Pereira, formerly a national team defender in Portugal, takes over the job as coach in Sporting.
Amorim ended his successful time in Sporting on Sunday, when Braga was defeated 4–2 in a match where Swedish star striker Viktor Gyökeres, unusually, remained goalless.
