Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan have been under investigation for several crimes since December 2022. The two brothers and four others are suspected of human trafficking, sexual acts with minors and money laundering, among other charges.

Romanian prosecutors are now adding another charge to Tate's indictment. They say he has incited hatred and discrimination against women in several statements on social media.

In a post on the X platform, Tate wrote that the statements were a joke, and that he is "an American citizen being prosecuted for freedom of speech."
