Tonight, goalkeeper Jacob Markström was forced to break off New Jersey's match against Boston due to injury.
Now comes the next worrying message for Tre Kronor ahead of the national team tournament Four Nations: Vegas center William Karlsson has suffered a lower-body injury and is being evaluated week by week, the club writes on X.
There are only three weeks until Tre Kronor play their first match against Canada in Montreal on the night of February 13.
The 32-year-old Karlsson has scored seven goals and a total of 18 points in 38 matches this season.
Four Nations will be the first tournament in nine years that the NHL is arranging, and with only NHL players in the four participating teams, except for Sweden and Canada, also the USA and Finland.
The tournament will be played on February 13-21 in Boston and Montreal.
