"Fire and Ash" is the third installment in the "Avatar" series and is expected to earn around SEK 3.3 billion in international box office revenue after its first weekend in theaters.
In total, the two predecessors earned well over two billion dollars each. The first "Avatar" is the world's highest-grossing film, while the sequel "The Way of Water" is in third place.
If "Fire and Ash" follows a similar trajectory, "Avatar" would become the first blockbuster film series in history with three parts that all pass the two billion dollar mark, equivalent to just over 18 billion kronor.
