U.S.: Eight dead in attacks on suspected drug boats

The attack was directed, among other things, at three ships traveling in a convoy, the military said.

The attack reportedly took place in international waters, but the exact location is unclear. Previous attacks have taken place in the Pacific and Caribbean seas.

At least 115 people have been killed in U.S. attacks on suspected drug boats in international waters since September.
