According to the governor of the Leningrad Region, the attack sparked a fire and damaged the port.
Earlier this week, Ukraine also attacked both Ust-Luga and the oil port of Primorsk on the other side of the Gulf, very close to Finland. Both are described as important Baltic Sea ports for Russia's fossil fuel exports.
