The latest attack reportedly took place late Sunday evening local time, according to the UKMTO. The crew aboard the ship are reported to be unharmed.
As late as Sunday afternoon, another attack occurred, this time against a cargo ship whose designation or country of origin is unknown, off Sirik in southeastern Iran.
No country or group has claimed responsibility for any of the attacks, but Iran has previously denied that it was behind the first attack.
