The Swedish Customs Administration has dismantled a network that has been engaged in extensive smuggling and distribution of narcotics, according to a press release from the authority.
According to customs, the network was controlled by a trio of ringleaders who organized a number of drivers and couriers.
In one of the cases, a man allegedly hid kilograms of hashish in paint cans and distributed the drugs in a company van.
Since last year, the operation has resulted in the seizure of 310 kilograms of cannabis, 116 kilograms of cocaine, and 51 kilograms of amphetamine, with an estimated street value of SEK 168 million, according to customs.
So far, 14 people have been sentenced to prison in the case.
