The streaming giant previously made a bid of $27.75 per share for Warner Bros. Discovery but had planned to pay part of the amount by offering Netflix shares. Now the offer is being changed to pure cash, which is equivalent to $72 billion, according to CNBC.
Warner Bros. Discovery's board of directors has approved the new bid.
Since Warner Bros. Discovery's board announced that it was recommending Netflix's bid, competitor Paramount has made several hostile bids and filed a lawsuit.
Netflix will release its interim report later this evening.
