Earnings per share were 80 cents, compared with the LSEG average forecast of 79 cents, CNBC reports. This was up from 72 cents per share in the same period last year.
Revenue was reported at $12.56 billion, compared with the average forecast of $12.59 billion.
The report concerns the second quarter of the year.
Netflix expects third-quarter earnings of 82 cents per share and revenue of $12.9 billion, both of which are slightly below analysts' expectations.
Since the report was released, Netflix shares have fallen 8 percent in after-hours trading on the New York Stock Exchange.
