In the Argentine science fiction series "The Eternauts" a scene where a building collapses has been created entirely by generative AI, reports BBC.
The scene in "The Eternauts" was made 10 times faster, compared to if traditional technique had been used and according to Netflix's vice CEO Ted Sarandos, the technique is an "incredible opportunity to make films and series better, not just cheaper".
The use of generative AI is controversial in the entertainment industry because it may come to replace people's work.
Netflix reported on Thursday an increase in sales of 13 percent compared to the same period last year, which is partly due to the success of the last season of "Squid game".
