The dark comedy series – a The Addams Family spinoff with Jenna Ortega as the teenage daughter Wednesday in the lead role – quickly became a viewer favorite when it premiered in November 2022.
On August 6, the series is back with the second season, where, among others, Lady Gaga appears as a teacher at Wednesday Addams' school Nevermore. Now Netflix confirms that there will be at least one more season.
"It has been a dark pleasure to see Wednesday enchant the audience around the world – one dry joke at a time. That she will return and lurk in the corridors of Nevermore in season 3 makes us overjoyed", say the series creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar in a statement.
The first season of "Wednesday" is the second most streamed of Netflix's original productions after "Squid game", and was seen over 250 million times during the first 90 days.
