US and Israeli attacks on Iran could not wait, that is the message from the Israeli prime minister. He says the Iranian regime is building facilities to develop ballistic missiles and nuclear weapons that would have been impossible to attack at a later stage.
They have started building new facilities, new sites, underground bunkers, which within a few months would make their ballistic missile program and their nuclear weapons program immune, Benjamin Netanyahu says.
Last year, Israel and the United States attacked several alleged nuclear facilities in Iran during the so-called Twelve-Day War.
Iran's enrichment of uranium and suspicions of wanting to develop its own nuclear weapons have caused global fear for decades. Tehran has maintained that its nuclear program is civilian.
Netanyahu further admits that the offensive "may take some time" but that it is not a matter of years.
It will not be an endless war. This will be a swift and decisive action.
