The order comes after three empty buses in a suburb of Tel Aviv exploded late on Thursday evening. No people were on board or near the vehicles, but police on the scene discovered two additional bombs. They could, according to the police, be disarmed.
"The Prime Minister has ordered the IDF (the military) to carry out an intensive operation against the terrorist nests," says Netanyahu's office on X.
The police and security police have also been ordered to increase efforts to prevent further attacks in Israeli cities.
Israel's Defense Minister Israel Katz accuses "Palestinian terrorists" of the explosions, in a statement on Thursday evening.
