Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is holding discussions with ministers and security chiefs on Friday regarding efforts to reach an agreement on Israeli hostages, reports Haaretz.
The meeting is being held the day after the announcement of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar's death.
The 61-year-old Sinwar – the terrorist-stamped movement's highest leader and hunted by Israel, which sees him as most responsible for the attacks on October 7, 2023 – is believed to have lived in Gaza's underground tunnel system.
