The documentary by Israeli directors Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor contains interviews with whistleblowers in the Israeli military who claim, among other things, that AI-powered targeting systems have been used to kill civilians in Gaza.
The film has become the subject of heated debate in Israel.
On Sunday evening, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wrote that he was demanding that Israel’s Shin Bet security service, the military’s chief of staff and Israel’s attorney general investigate the film’s participation. Those involved should be able to “be brought to justice,” Netanyahu added.
The Israeli military (IDF) has condemned the film and the testimonies’ allegations of suspected war crimes in a press release.
Israel will hold national elections on October 27 this year.
