Nestlé has six factories with around 7,000 employees in Russia, a spokesperson told AFP.
"Nestlé notes the Russian presidential decree published yesterday, which places Nestlé Russia under temporary external administration. The company is evaluating the situation and its options," Nestlé wrote in a press release on Friday.
The Kremlin defends the move as a justified measure against companies from “unfriendly countries” that support Ukraine.
"Nestlé will take all necessary measures to protect its rights and ensure the continuity of its operations," the food company writes.
