The Canadian artist writes on his website that it will be a big concert, open to everyone, but that negotiations are still ongoing about exactly where and when it will take place.
The announcement comes just days after the failed meeting between the US President Donald Trump and Ukraine's President Volodomyr Zelenskyj. Young is openly critical of Trump and recently published a post stating that the US has "lost its reputation" due to Trump.
At Sunday's Oscars gala, Young's wife, actress Daryl Hannah, also made a political statement.
"Slava Ukraini!", she shouted when handing out a prize from the stage.
It is already known that Young will also make a stop in Sweden on the tour – he will perform at Dalhalla in Rättvik on June 18.
