Since October 2023, 18,885 children have been killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza, according to authorities in Hamas-controlled Gaza.
Over the past five months – since Israel unilaterally broke the latest ceasefire with Hamas – an average of 540 children have been killed every month, recently calculated by the UN Children's Fund Unicef.
No place in Gaza is safe for children, noted the UN's Palestine agency Unrwa on Tuesday.
In total, over 62,000 Palestinians are reported to have been killed in the Gaza Strip since the outbreak of war, which followed the terrorist-stamped Hamas attack on Israel on 7 October 2023.
Israel's response, with 22 months of relentless bombings, has led an increasing number of international experts in international law and human rights groups to assess that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza.
The International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued an arrest warrant for Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for suspected war crimes and crimes against humanity.
