The Election Review Board has received thousands of new emails in recent days, which has doubled the number of appeals in just a few days.
The latest figure, at 10:30 on Friday morning, was 11,700 appeals. So far, about 830 of the emails have been logged, most of them appeals related to the parliamentary election.
The Election Review Board has previously said that many of the appeals received concern suspected election fraud in Borlänge.
The parliamentary election can be appealed until September 29.
