The Government has given the Defence Forces the task of offering NATO to establish a signal company in Sweden. The new company will be located at the Defence Forces' garrison in Enköping and consist of just over 50 officers and soldiers, mainly technicians, the Government writes in a press release.
The signal company can, according to the task, reach full capacity in 2029.
”The establishment of the signal company is a part of the work to strengthen NATO's deterrent capability in Northern Europe”, says Minister of Defence Pål Jonson.
It has been clear since before that NATO has been offered to establish a staff for logistics management in Enköping.
