NATO fighter jets shoot down drone over Latvia

According to media reports, the drone came from the Russian side of the border in the morning. Latvian Foreign Minister Baiba Braze said the aircraft scrambled was French: "Thanks to our French allies!" she wrote on X.

The danger was declared over, but new warnings came later in the morning. “Follow the two-wall rule!” defense authorities urged the population in certain areas. This means that you should have two walls between you and any flying threats.

Several times earlier during the war in Ukraine, either Russian or Ukrainian combat drones have flown over the Baltic countries and Finland.
