After Los Angeles, Brussels and Paris, a meeting is now scheduled in London with the Writers' Guild of Great Britain on the theme of "the changing security situation in Europe." In an email seen by The Guardian, NATO says the meetings have so far inspired participants to undertake three different projects.
However, the initiative is causing outrage among invitees who feel they are being asked to "contribute to propaganda for NATO."
"I thought it was tone-deaf and crazy to present this as some kind of positive opportunity," screenwriter Alan O'Gorman told The Guardian.
