The uncertain situation in the world is reflected in this year's Trust Barometer, which was conducted before the school shooting in Örebro. The police have increased to the second-highest confidence ever, 74 percent. Among authorities and organizations, Säpo and the Defense Forces are at the top, with 69 and 68 percent, respectively.

Confidence in NATO is at 57 percent, while confidence in the government is only 35.

On the question of who has the confidence to solve crime in society, politicians have dropped three notches, and civil society five.

The Green Party is increasing

The political parties' confidence is also decreasing generally by two notches to 16 percent, which is the lowest figure in five years. The Liberals are at a low 10 percent. The exception is the Green Party, which has increased by 7 notches to its highest ranking in 10 years.

Confidence in the Church of Sweden is also increasing, to the highest figure ever, 47 percent.

This year, the survey also examines which international leaders Sweden has confidence in. Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyj is at the top, with 53 percent, followed by Denmark's Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen at 50 percent.

Donald Trump has the highest increase: from 5 to 8 percent over five years. But the differences are large depending on party sympathies – Sweden Democrats have the greatest confidence, 28 percent, followed by those who vote for KD, 5 percent.

Turkey's, Russia's, and China's presidents all have 1 percent confidence.

Elon Musk at the bottom

Among international opinion leaders, confidence is lowest for Elon Musk, 5 percent. In 2020, the measurement was topped by Greta Thunberg. Half of the support has now disappeared, and barely every fourth Swede has confidence in her.

At the top is French Giséle Pelicot, who became known to the world during the trial against her rapist husband.
