21-year-old Kafaji says she is grateful for her time on Hisingen. She left AIK and signed with Häcken ahead of the 2022 season. In her debut match, she broke her leg and was out for a longer period.
She made her comeback in September 2022 and has since made a breakthrough. She made her debut in the A-national team against Italy in November 2023 and has since had a place in the squad.
"You received me with open arms when I needed it most and you became my second family. It hurts now to say that I have to move on. I am eternally grateful for all the magical moments we have had together, our memories, your support, and everyone's passion for this club has shaped me into the player and person I am today", she says to Häcken's website.
To Arsenal's website, she says:
"It feels fantastic to become a part of this club. I am so happy to be here."
She becomes Arsenal's fourth Swede. Stina Blackstenius made the same journey as Kafaji in 2022 – from Häcken to north London. In addition, Lina Hurtig and Amanda Ilestedt also play for the club.
Swede Jonas Eidevall is the club's head coach. He is pleased with Arsenal's latest recruitment:
"I am very happy that we have managed to recruit Rosa to the club. She is one of the most exciting young talents in the world and I have been a big admirer for many years", he says to the club's website.
