In Sunday's English League Cup final against Manchester United, Nathalie Björn went off injured shortly after coming on as a substitute.
Two minutes after coming on, she made a pass, then grabbed her calf and sat down on the grass.
"I don't think we'll see her on the pitch again this season," Björn's coach Sonia Bompastor told Chelsea's website.
Nathalie Björn now risks missing Sweden's four final World Cup qualifying matches to be played in the coming months.
Sweden is second in the group; only the top team goes directly to the 2027 World Cup, and the next match is against first-placed Denmark on April 14 at Gamla Ullevi in Gothenburg.
