The accident occurred during Thursday's qualifying for the elite competition, which will be decided on Sunday. When Andersson was left lying on the track, qualifying was interrupted.
She received immediate treatment at the scene after the accident.
She was awake and talkative and was not considered to have life-threatening injuries when she was taken by ambulance to Skåne University Hospital in Malmö for further examination, press officer Josefin Wahlberg told Sydsvenskan .
35-year-old Andersson has several international Grand Prix victories, has ridden for Sweden in several national competitions and at the 2023 European Championships, won individual silver in the 2012 European Young Rider Championships, and team bronze in the 2012 European Young Rider Championships.
Falsterbo Horse Show runs between July 4–12.
