The criticism focuses, among other things, on the fact that it is difficult to know whether the money is being used effectively. The documentation is inadequate, the National Audit Office notes.
"I think it's very serious. We are still in a situation where we choose to invest very large resources in the Armed Forces, which we then do not invest anywhere else in society," says Marcus Pettersson, Audit Director, to Sveriges Television.
