Nathan MacKinnon Leads Colorado’s Comeback Win Over Pittsburgh After 2-0 Deficit

Colorado's form has been mixed at the start of the NHL season. Last night, last year's series champion came back from a 2-0 deficit to beat Pittsburgh 5-2 at home.

In 29 nightmarish seconds midway through the first period, Colorado conceded two goals. It seemed to be a wake-up call for the team's star player, Nathan MacKinnon, who then became the central figure in both the game and the comeback.

The 31-year-old had three assists, a goal and a missed penalty in the game, which Colorado won 5-2. The only goal he wasn't involved in came when the team's Swedish captain, Gabriel Landeskog, poked in the go-ahead goal at 4:24 of the second period, just inside Arturs Silovs' left post.

Colorado has won five of its eight games so far this season.
