Ugly scenes unfolded in an NHL game overnight. Winnipeg defenseman Haydn Fleury was checked by Vegas forward Keegan Kolesar, and his head struck the goal frame.

Fleury left the ice on a stretcher and was taken to the hospital where he had to stay overnight, according to the AP.

Winnipeg later announced that Fleury was conscious and able to move his arms and legs.

"More information will come when we have it," the club writes in a statement, according to Expressen.

Vegas won the game 4–3.
