Sandra Näslund was back after knee surgery in the World Cup premiere, but fell and was knocked out in the quarterfinals in Val Thorens.
Now the Swedish skicross athlete is heading home after the fall.
"She is heading home to Sweden for a check-up after the crash in yesterday's competition. More information will follow when available", writes the Swedish Ski Association in a statement.
Näslund therefore did not start when the competitions in the French alpine resort continued on Friday.
