The two-time champion passed away on Thursday.
"The entire NASCAR family is devastated by the loss of Kyle Busch. Kyle, who will be inducted into the Hall of Fame in the future, was a rare talent, one that only appears once in a generation. He was fierce, passionate, incredibly talented and cared immensely about the sport and the fans," the family and NASCAR wrote in a joint statement.
Busch was hospitalized at the time of his death, but no cause of death has been given. His family said earlier this week that he was being treated for a “serious illness.”
He was 41 years old.
