Nancy Pelosi, former Speaker of the US House of Representatives, has undergone a hip operation at a US military hospital in Germany.
The 84-year-old Democrat was hospitalized in Luxembourg earlier in the week after injuring her hip in a fall accident during an event.
Pelosi traveled to Europe to participate in the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Ardennes Offensive during World War II.
She is on the road to recovery, says her spokesperson Ian Krager in a statement.
