She made her debut 16 years ago. Now Nadia Nadim has played her last match in the Danish national team dress.
"Nadia Nadim is one of the greatest. Thank you for an incredible career in red and white. Thank you for your dedication, passion and charisma. Thank you for being yourself", writes the Danish national team on their Instagram.
In total, it became 108 matches and 38 goals in Denmark for the national team icon who spent the spring in Hammarby – on loan from AC Milan.
Denmark is already eliminated from the European Championship after losing all three group stage matches. It was the first time ever that Denmark did not take a single point in a European Championship.
