It has now been a month and a half since 25-year-old My, from Rönninge, disappeared on her way home after a night out and was reported missing. The next day she was found dead.
"My was quick-witted and full of life, with a special ability to capture moments - in pictures, in film and in meetings with people. She saw the vividness in every situation and spread joy to those around her," the family writes in a statement.
"Above all, My was our infinitely beloved daughter, big sister and friend."
The suspected murder has engaged and touched thousands of people, which is why the family has decided that the funeral at Oscar Church in central Stockholm on Thursday will be open to the public.
"We would like to thank everyone who has shown us warmth, care and support. It means a lot to us," the family writes.
A 26-year-old man is suspected of murdering her and has been arrested on probable cause on suspicion of murder and aggravated assault.
