The film is banned in Germany due to its extremely violent and anti-immigrant content.
"Here it is. The film is now available on X for 48 hours. Enjoy," Musk said in a video on the platform, The Wrap reports.
“Citizen vigilante” is inspired by a case in Hamburg where a group of teenagers raped a young girl and left her for dead.
The lead role is played by Armie Hammer, who in 2021 was accused of rape and of sending messages with sexual and cannibalistic elements to strange women.
Hammer was never charged with the crimes and has denied all allegations.
