Billionaire and Trump supporter Elon Musk promises to give away a million dollars to a voter who signs a petition – every day until the American presidential election, reports NBC News.
During a campaign meeting in Pennsylvania on Saturday, Musk handed out a first check worth approximately 10.5 million kronor to a seemingly randomly selected and pleasantly surprised man in the audience.
The stunt aims to get Republican voters in the crucial state of Pennsylvania to sign Elon Musk's petition "in support of freedom of speech and the right to bear arms".
Everyone who signs gets 100 dollars for their trouble, according to Musk. The campaign is considered a way to circumvent the rules against paying voters to register or vote in American elections.
