The musicians' strike has been called off. The parties have agreed on a new agreement that gives freelancers better terms, reports the Musicians' Union.

Thus, the musicians in the show "Amadeus" at Kulturhuset Stadsteatern avoid going on strike.

The agreement implies general salary increases of 6.4 percent and an additional low-wage effort for freelance musicians. At the same time, copyright is strengthened, among other things, through increased compensation, according to the Musicians' Union's press release.

Karin Inde, chairperson of the Musicians' Union, believes that the agreement implies "clear improvements", while the agreement secretary Mattias Qvarsell speaks of "a principially important breakthrough".

"It shows that it is possible to make a difference when we stand united", he says in a press release.
