On the same day that the first season's last episode is released, it becomes clear that the series "Murderbot" is renewed. The series based on the novel series "The Murderbot Diaries" is about a robot that manages to hack its own system and unlock free will. Alexander Skarsgård plays the lead role and is also an executive producer.
"We are so grateful for the response "Murderbot" has received and are happy that we get to return to Martha Wells' world to work together with Alexander, Apple, CBS Studios and the rest of the team", say the creators and executive producers Chris and Paul Weitz in the press release.
