The murder suspicions against a man in his 20s have weakened after the weekend's death in custody in Uddevalla. Chief Prosecutor Daniel Veivo Pettersson has lifted the detention.

"The preliminary investigation is still ongoing," says Veivo Pettersson in a press release.

The man is still detained in another case.

It was on Sunday that a Norwegian citizen was found dead in the detention center in Uddevalla. The Norwegian was charged last week, suspected of murdering a close female relative outside Strömstad in January.

The previously arrested man and the deceased man lived in the same room in the detention center.
