"Everything indicates that this is a political murder," says Tusk, who continues:

If it was ordered by Russia, then it is also a very serious matter with an international dimension.

Semyon Skrepetsky, whose real name was Robert Kuzovov, often satirized Vladimir Putin. He was shot dead in a parking lot in the small town of Biala Podlaska in eastern Poland on Monday. He was first shot three times, and was then shot two more times at close range after he fell to the ground.

Just a few days earlier, Skrepetsky had participated in a demonstration in Berlin, where he held up one of his most famous works - an Orthodox icon painting in which a caricature of Joseph Stalin holds a young Vladimir Putin like a baby Jesus.
