In connection with the deaths, police stated there was no indication that any outside party was involved. A preliminary investigation into murder was opened, and the prosecutor has now chosen to close it.
"There is currently nothing to suggest that anyone other than the suspect caused the plaintiff's injuries. Since the suspect is deceased, there is no longer any reason to continue the preliminary investigation," says senior prosecutor Hanna Flordal in a press release.
