A 22-year-old Swedish man, who was recently arrested in Turkey, is suspected of having instigated the murder in the Teleborg district of Växjö.

The act may have been a revenge for an attack on the 22-year-old's family in Stockholm last summer, when a relative of his was shot in the leg.

In chats that are part of the investigation into the incident, the 22-year-old expresses revenge thoughts, according to P4. The man whom the police believe was the actual target in Växjö appears in the preliminary investigation in connection with money transfers.

The revenge is said not to have gone as planned, but instead was directed at the wrong people, according to P4. In addition to the woman whose life could not be saved, a man in his 30s was lightly injured in the shooting.

The 22-year-old was arrested in Bodrum, Turkey, on January 17, after being internationally wanted by Sweden.

A teenage boy and a teenage girl are already being held in custody, suspected of having carried out the attack in Växjö.
