A punk and hard rock festival is planned in Karlskoga this summer. But two municipal administrations want to stop it – they believe the music could be harmful to children, local media reports.

The Culture and Leisure Administration in Karlskoga Municipality writes in their statement that they want to protect children from offensive and sexual content, reports Nya Wermlands-Tidningen .

"Sections of lyrics in the music lyrics within the genre could cause some offense, for example by containing gendered words, sexual innuendo or writings about feces," the newspaper says. The Municipal Management Office has also opposed the festival.

Should a municipality decide what is the right culture for our children, wonders organizer Jenny Sidenvall.

The final decision about the festival will be made later this winter, reports P4 Örebro .
