"It is with sadness in our hearts and dismay that we wake up today," says the chairwoman of the municipal board, Åsa-Märta Sjöström, to SVT.
The municipality quickly activated its crisis support and released information about the incident early on. A total of 1,000 students in the municipality, which has around 12,000 residents, were affected by the evacuations in connection with the incident.
The perpetrator is not a current student at the school, but still managed to get into the locked building. Åsa-Märta Sjöström does not want to comment on it, but refers to the police investigation. The focus is now on taking care of everyone involved, she says.
We are planning for next week, among other things, what it will look like. We have to ensure that students at school receive instruction and so on.
