Outside Kusmark north of Skellefteå, two cars collided head-on and two people were taken to hospital by ambulance. The police have no information about the extent of the injuries.

On national road 394 outside Gällivare, another traffic accident occurred involving two cars. No one is believed to have been seriously injured in the accident, but the incident had a significant impact on traffic.

The Swedish Transport Administration warns on its website about slippery road conditions in the area.

It's winter conditions with all that entails, including slippery roads and a lot of snow, says Elisabeth Glaas, the police's press spokesperson in region Nord.

At around 5 pm, a single-car accident occurred on E45 outside Jokkmokk, according to NSD. The road was closed in both directions during the rescue operation and one person was taken away by ambulance. There is no information about serious injuries.

Outside Hallsberg, a head-on collision also occurred on county road 518, and the drivers of the two cars were taken to hospital by ambulance.

According to the police, however, there are no reports of serious injuries, but the accident led to a complete stop in traffic on the smaller road.

The police report that the roads are slippery in the area.

There has been varying weather over the past few days, with snowfall that melts and then freezes, and then the risk of slippery roads is high towards the afternoon and evening. Black ice is treacherous, says Evelina Åström in police region Bergslagen.
