Five people, four men and one woman, from the Gothenburg area are detained in Finland, reports SR Ekot. They are suspected of serious drug offenses.
They have been clearly linked to drug trafficking in the area and it has also generated violent acts and threats of violence, says Johan Dyre, acting local police chief in South Gothenburg, to the radio.
The four men are believed to be part of a group from Lindome, outside Gothenburg. Earlier this fall, a man from Gothenburg was also detained, suspected of attempted murder in Helsinki.
He has been influential in drug trafficking, a well-known individual to us, says Dyre.
The Finnish police have not wanted to comment on the investigations in the two cases. Two of the detainees deny the crimes, the others do not want to comment.
